Insurance & Medisave Guide
Understanding your coverage for obstetric and gynaecological care
Medisave for Gynaecological Surgery
Medisave can be used to pay for many gynaecological surgical procedures performed at Thomson Medical Centre. Common claimable procedures include laparoscopic surgery for fibroids, ovarian cysts, and endometriosis. The claimable amount depends on the specific procedure and Medisave table limits.
Medisave for Pregnancy & Delivery
Medisave can be used for prenatal expenses and delivery charges. For normal delivery, up to $900 can be claimed per day of hospitalisation (capped at $2,150 in total). For Caesarean delivery, higher limits apply. You can use both your own Medisave and your spouse's Medisave for pregnancy-related claims.
Insurance Coverage
Our clinic works with most major insurance providers in Singapore, including Great Eastern, AIA, Prudential, NTUC Income, and more. We recommend checking with your insurance company before your visit to understand your coverage. Our clinic staff can assist with pre-authorisation and claims submission.
Payment Options
We accept cash, NETS, and major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, AMEX). For patients who require assistance with payments, please speak with our clinic staff about available options.
What to Bring to Your Appointment
Please bring your NRIC or passport, insurance card or letter of guarantee, any relevant medical records or referral letters, and a list of current medications. This helps ensure a smooth consultation and claims process.
